WAIVER I hereby acknowledge and agree: 1) that orienteering is an outdoor action sport with inherent risks, some of which are foreseeable, but other which are not, and some of which result from human error or negligence on the part of the persons preparing, organizing and staging this event, but others result from my own actions. 2) that, as a result of aforesaid risks and hazards, I, as a participant , may suffer serious personal injury or possibly even death, as well as property loss; and 3) that I nevertheless freely and voluntarily assume all aforesaid risks and hazards and that accordingly my preparation for and participation in the above named event shall be entirely at my own risk. Therefore, in consideration for the acceptance of my participation in the above named event, intending to be legally bound, I do hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all right and claims for damages I may have against the San Diego Orienteering Club, SDO board and committee members, the United States Orienteering Federation, the landowners, their representatives, leaseholders and assignees and also any sponsors of this event for any injuries or damages to me during or because of this event. I agree to return all rental e-sticks or pay $40.00 within 10 days if it is lost or damaged. I hereby certify that I have read this entire contract; and, I understand its content without exception.
